ABOUT 'JANE AUSTEN SOCIETY OF THE UK'
The Jane Austen Society of the United Kingdom has been established to foster appreciation of the life, work, and times of Jane Austen, to secure the preservation of her manuscripts, to produce scholarly publications about Jane Austen, and to support the museum at Jane Austen's house at Chawton, Hampshire, England.
The Society's website is organized into the following main sections: History, Newsletter, Branches, Diary, Publications, Membership, Jane Austen Biography, Jane Austen Novels, Costume, Bursaries, and Jane Austen Links.
The Biography section is illustrated with images of Jane Austen, and of the various houses in which Jane Austen lived in Steverton, Bath, and Winchester.
